Glasgow Top-Down Pullover

It doesn’t get more basic than this men’s crew-neck pullover. It’s super comfortable and easy to wear – no muss, no fuss, the way guys like it. I’ve named this sweater “Glasgow”, which is from the gaelic, and means “green hollow”. I’m a big fan of Scotland and all things celtic and am planning a trip to Scotland in the next month, so it’s been on my mind. This sweater would look great worn over a kilt (be still my heart!).

This pullover is worked from the top down, beginning at the back shoulders. The back is worked to the armholes, then placed on hold while the front is picked up from the back shoulders and worked to the armholes. Then the back and front are joined and the body is worked to the bottom edge. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked to the cuffs, with short-row shaping to shape the sleeve caps.
