Ocracoke Tank

This tank is worked in the round from the bottom to the armholes (with waist and bust shaping), then Back and Front are worked separately to the shoulders, which are joined using 3-Needle BO. The back neck edging is worked from the left shoulder to the right, then the edging stitches are joined using Kitchener stitch or 3-Needle BO, and the edging is sewn to the back neck edge.

The Diamond Pattern is presented in both written and charted formats.

Needles and Notions: Size 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 24″ long or longer, OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE; stitch markers in 4 different colors; cable needle; stitch holders; spare size 6 (4 mm) needle in any style for 3-Needle Bind-Off

Gauges: In Stockinette stitch, 20 stitches and 30 rows = 4″/10 cm; in Diamond Pattern, 31 stitches = 5″/12.5 cm wide.
